{"id":5424,"date":"2024-04-03T11:03:17","date_gmt":"2024-04-03T11:03:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wildwestfjords.com\/?p=5424"},"modified":"2024-04-03T23:40:24","modified_gmt":"2024-04-03T23:40:24","slug":"icelandic-horse","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wildwestfjords.com\/de\/icelandic-horse\/","title":{"rendered":"Das Pferd mit f\u00fcnf G\u00e4ngen"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In einsamer Pracht gedeiht das Islandpferd, seit die ersten Siedler vor \u00fcber tausend Jahren ihre Pferde mit nach Island brachten.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Die einzigartige isl\u00e4ndische Rasse ist bemerkenswert sozial, neugierig, lebenslustig, freundlich und wissbegierig. Nach Jahrhunderten in der Rolle des \"wichtigsten Dieners\" hat das Pferd auch einen starken Verstand und eine Hartn\u00e4ckigkeit, die ihm geholfen hat, unerfahrene Reiter \u00fcber ein Jahrtausend sicher \u00fcber raues und gef\u00e4hrliches Terrain zu tragen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Daher gibt es nichts Besseres, als die wundersch\u00f6ne isl\u00e4ndische Landschaft (insbesondere die wilden Westfjorde) auf dem R\u00fccken eines charmanten und geduldigen F\u00fchrers wie dem Islandpferd zu erkunden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Individualistisch: der einzigartige Genpool<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Islandpferde sind k\u00fcrzer als die meisten anderen Pferde und werden daher oft f\u00e4lschlicherweise mit dem Shetlandpony verglichen. Aber es wird definitiv als Pferd gez\u00e4hlt und kann beleidigt sein, wenn man es als Pony bezeichnet!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Er wird selten gr\u00f6\u00dfer als 150 cm und zeichnet sich durch sein fr\u00f6hliches Temperament, seine muskul\u00f6se Gestalt und sein struppiges Fell im Winter aus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Zu seinem einzigartig guten Aussehen tr\u00e4gt vielleicht auch die Tatsache bei, dass das Pferd dank der unnachgiebigen und strengen Vorschriften, die sogar die Mitnahme von S\u00e4tteln oder Reitstiefeln nach Island verbieten, nur selten an den \u00fcblichen Viehkrankheiten leidet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Die Geschichte besagt, dass bei der ersten Besiedlung Islands nur das beste Vieh f\u00fcr den begrenzten Platz auf den Schiffen in Frage kam. In Anbetracht des begrenzten Platzes nahmen die fr\u00fchen H\u00e4uptlinge oder die Seefahrer der Wikinger nur eine Handvoll Tiere mit und sorgten so daf\u00fcr, dass Island am Ende der Besiedlungsperiode \u00fcber einen Schatz von einigen der st\u00e4rksten Pferde aus Norwegen verf\u00fcgte. Die urspr\u00fcnglichen norwegischen Pferde stammten urspr\u00fcnglich aus der Mongolei.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Diese Pferde wurden f\u00fcr alles M\u00f6gliche eingesetzt, vom Transport bis hin zu bewaffneten Auseinandersetzungen zwischen den Clans. In Islands rauem Klima wurde bald deutlich, dass Pferde auch f\u00fcr eine erfolgreiche Landwirtschaft unverzichtbar waren, und allm\u00e4hlich entwickelten sie sich zu lebenswichtigen R\u00e4dchen im Getriebe einer Agrarwirtschaft.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Nie wieder zur\u00fcckkehren<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Aufgrund ihres ansprechenden Aussehens, ihrer allgemeinen Robustheit und ihres ausgeglichenen Temperaments ist das Islandpferd im Ausland sehr beliebt; tats\u00e4chlich gibt es heute bis zu 100.000 Pferde im Ausland gegen\u00fcber 80.000 in Island. Dies hat allerdings einen Haken: Wenn ein Pferd einmal ins Ausland transportiert wurde, kann es nicht mehr nach Hause zur\u00fcckkehren, da es Krankheiten einschleppen k\u00f6nnte.<br>Im Gro\u00dfen und Ganzen scheint diese Politik gut funktioniert zu haben.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Das Pferd mit der besten Gangart<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>W\u00e4hrend die meisten anderen Pferde auf der Welt nur drei oder vier \"Gangarten\" (Gangarten wie Trab und Galopp) haben, sind es bei Islandpferden bis zu f\u00fcnf. Ihre einzigartige Gangart, die auch als \"T\u00f6lt\" bekannt ist, hat sich aufgrund des unwegsamen Gel\u00e4ndes und der h\u00fcgeligen Topografie Islands entwickelt. Allerdings k\u00f6nnen nicht alle Islandpferde diesen Gang, und diejenigen, die ihn beherrschen, m\u00fcssen in der Regel daf\u00fcr trainiert werden, ihn richtig auszuf\u00fchren.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Zusammenfassend l\u00e4sst sich sagen, dass das Reiten auf einem Islandpferd ein typisches einheimisches Erlebnis ist, wie es nur sein kann.
