Certaines routes aujourd'hui consid\u00e9r\u00e9es comme essentielles n'existaient tout simplement pas au milieu des ann\u00e9es 20<sup>th<\/sup> si\u00e8cle. L'Islande est un pays destin\u00e9 \u00e0 \u00eatre explor\u00e9 par la mer, ce qui donne un angle diff\u00e9rent sur la majest\u00e9 des glaciers, des fjords et des volcans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Les bateaux de croisi\u00e8re adorent la r\u00e9gion des Westfjords. Il y a au moins cinq ports (et probablement plus) qui accueillent plus d'un navire par an.<strong> <\/strong>\u00cdsafj\u00f6r\u00f0ur, le plus grand port des Westfjords, est le troisi\u00e8me port d'Islande pour les bateaux de croisi\u00e8re et offre un aper\u00e7u de l'histoire maritime de la ville. La place d'honneur revient au mus\u00e9e maritime, aux nombreux endroits o\u00f9 manger et boire et \u00e0 la possibilit\u00e9 de d\u00e9couvrir la vie dans les fjords.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La municipalit\u00e9 de Vesturbygg\u00f0 et ses deux ports, Patreksfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur et B\u00edldudalur, constituent un excellent point de d\u00e9part pour une excursion d'une journ\u00e9e dans les Westfjords isol\u00e9s.
