Dyrafjordur is one of Iceland’s most scenic fjords. With the highest mountains of the Westfjords as a backdrop; the area is rich in flora, fauna, history and geological marvels.

We start rowing from near the campsite in Thingeyri and continue into the fjord. Shortly after, we start to see the first seals. On a good day, up to 20 seals can be spotted lying on the shore or rocks to sunbathe. The seal is a very curious animal and it is great to watch them swim around the kayaks.

There is also a diverse bird life in Dyrafjordur and you will be able to spot many species of sea birds and ducks.
