The meat soup festival in Hesteyri takes place on the Saturday of the Verslunarmannahelgi weekend. Possibly the smallest outdoor festival in the country, the number of guests is limited, so you need to book well in advance. The festival is designed for the entire family, and full of joy and happiness in the natural paradise of Hornstrandir.
The Doctor’s House will prepare a traditional soup, coffee and freshly baked pancakes. There will be an entertainment program with games, singing and fun. Later you can walk to the beach where there will be a campfire and songs will be sung to the sea.
