Embark on an extended adventure for a deeper immersion in the beautiful and diverse landscapes of Dyrafjordur.

The journey begins in the town of Thingeyri from where we make our way up Brekkuhals and into the slopes of the mountain Sandafell. Sandafell offers the best views over Thingeyri and Dyrafjordur.

We descend through the forest trail behind Sandafell and cross the picturesque Sanda river. We continue into valley of Kirkjubol and up the crossing of Kvennaskard towards Arnarfjordur. From here, it is only a short hike to the top of Kaldbakur (998m), the highest mountain of the Westfjords.  We then return over the hills back to the town.

This tour offers a great taste of the stunning scenery and thrilling off-road experience Dyrafjordur has to offer.

Optional
Participants have the opportunity to take a hike to the top of Kaldbakur. The hike from Kvennaskard to the top of Kaldbakur takes a total of 2-3 hours both ways.
The hike is a possibility independent of the tour and The ATV guide waits by the quads. A waiting time is required and it is necessary to select that in the buying process so we can plan for it.

The maximum weight allowed on each quad bike is 180 kg. If the combined total weight of the driver and passenger is greater than 180 kg. then it is necessary to book two ATVs.
